ACT highlighted in Sun-Sentinel business review.
ACT's original (and still existing, profitable) operations encompass the apparel industry. However, the apparel industry continues to be going through rapid changes. Sun-Sentinel, a leading Florida newspaper, published numerous stories about the changing faces of the apparel industry and how certain companies have actually begun to prosper by quickly recognizing and adapting to change.
ACT development and support staff have been well educated in one of the most complex industries to automate. The company's physical operations have always been split for sometime between the United States and the Dominican Republic (initially strategic for just the apparel industry). Our company's technical capabilities have been very important in allowing ACT to expand for other diverse business applications.
Many
of ACT's competitor's who service the apparel
industry have either gone out of business
or have been forced to merge. ACT is proud
to remain in its original business while
also having the insight to tackle new opportunities
using a combination of its technical experience
in addition to its physical infrastructure.
Its NearShore Outsourcing program has been
a phenomenal new expansion breaking into
new industries such as general web-based
business development and financial applications.
Every story has been a success story!

ACT assists IBM with Informix marketing
efforts.
IBM recently
acquired Informix Software. Numerous third
party software vendors were contacted in
an effort to increase awareness to IBM's
commitment towards its database environments.
ACT was one of the few companies selected
for its long term allegiance and success
with Informix. The following quote will
be used for various marketing efforts within
Informix and IBM.
"For
13 years, we've been using Informix Dynamic
Server to develop IT solutions for our manufacturing,
importing, logistics and financial industry
customers. Informix first inspired our confidence
with its commitment to the open-systems
marketplace and its support for small to
mid-sized companies. Now, IBM has strengthened
our confidence by providing a migration
path for companies that want to start small
and grow their database environment." --
Brian Javeline, Executive Vice President,
Accelerated Computer Technologies, Inc.
